  1. Scroll down the page and click on the "Register" button next to the title of the program that is appropriate for the player you wish to register (for example, Peewee).
  2. Click "Continue" to begin entering or reviewing guardian information.
  3. If you are an existing member, use your previously recorded email address to sign in. If you are a new member, register your email address.
  4. Click the small gray "Register" button next to an existing child entry, or else click "Add a child."
  5. When entering or reviewing player information, click checkboxes to accept NYH terms and conditions, and code-of-conduct agreements.
  6. Click the "Pay Now" credit card button to settle outstanding balances from prior seasons and to make new 2021-2022 payments.
  7. You can always change guardian and player information by clicking on "Edit My Account" from the "Association" menu.

2021-2022 Sprites/Learn to Play

The Sprites/Learn To Play is open to skaters from ages 5-10. If you have a skater outside these years wanting to participate, please email Lisa Casillo, VP of Intramurals, to receive clearance to participate. Your skater will be placed in 1 of 2 groups (time slots) on Saturdays based on their age/grade. Unfortunately, based on structure of the Learn To Play program, we cannot accomodate changes, exceptions or requests.

The schedule for 2021-2022 Sprites/Learn To Play season:

  • Saturdays:  November 13 - March 19 at Ryan Rink (1 Paramount Place, Watertown; behind Russo's)
    • Grades K - 2 group:  9:20am - 10:10am
    • Grades 3 - 5+ group:  10:20am - 11:10am
    • Note:  Saturday practices will not take place on Nov 27, Dec 25, and Jan 1
  • Sundays:  November 14 - March 13 at Daly Rink (1 Nonantum Road, Newton; next to the Charles River)
    • All groups:  8:00am - 8:50am
    • Note:  Sunday practices will not take place on Dec 26, and Jan 2

Cost: $550 registration fee which includes a $30 non-refundable registration fee. 

Note: Be sure to register your child with the USA Hockey. It is free for children age 6 or under. A valid USA Hockey Confirmation Number is required to complete your registration.

2021-2022 Middle School

Newton Middle School Hockey

Registration is now open for the Middle School hockey team. The registration fee is $400 (skaters) or $200 (goalies) for the players in the Newton Youth Hockey programs in the current season, and $450 (skaters) or $250 (goalies) for other players.  Tryout dates (if necessary) will be announced soon.  Space on the teams is limited.

2021-2022 Girls U10 Registration

Girls U10 (Born in 2011-2012)


We are excited to announce a U10 Girls Team for the 2021-22 season! The structure of the program includes weekly skills sessions during the fall with one practice every other week throughout the season. Weekly games are played in the Middlesex Yankee Conference Girls Hockey League. The program also includes off-ice activities and jamborees. 

There are 2 different tuition structures. For U10 girls on both Squirts and all-girls team, tuition is $1150. For those girls only on girls U10 team, tuition is $1575. Program runs from September to March/April. 

We are looking to get commitments early so we can begin preparing for next season. Please register as soon as possible to secure your spot.

The non-refundable registration fee is $150. This fee will be applied to the 2021/2022 tuition or will be refunded if we are unable to field at team at this age group. Be sure to note the full terms and conditions in the Tryout and Placement Policy and the NYH Policies Agreement in the registration process.

*Note: For non-Newton players, Massachusetts Hockey rules (Article 1, section 1, paragraph D of the Annual Guide) state that players must play for the town association of residence, with exceptions for certain circumstances.
