Newton Youth Hockey's Goaltending Focus with Brian Eklund. NYH not only provides skill-based sessions with it's skaters, we also supplement that with Goaltending Clinics under the professional management of Brian Eklund. Eklund - a Braintree native climbed the the ranks of the NHL (via the Tampa Bay Lightning) where he was able to achieve a Stanley Cup Ring. Rick Morrissey has added Brian into the mix of goaltending resources adding to Newton's growing goaltending compentency. This includes involving and showing our Head and Assistant Coaches techniques and drills that can be incorporated into their practices so that our goalies are no longer just side notes to weekly practices.
